We prioritize your wellbeing with a variety of events including educational nutrition classes and supplementary fitness options. Explore our well-being events below:

Faculty & Staff Spring Well-Being Speaker Series

All DU faculty and staff are invited to join us for our spring speaker series! All events will include a sponsored lunch and time to meet other members of the DU community. Register on Crimson Connect () and search for, "Well-Being Speaker Series".

For each day, our schedule of events will be as follows:

11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. - Lunch, sponsored by Cigna & Kaiser Permanente

12:00 – 1:00 p.m.- Speaker (in-person & virtual options available)

1:00 – 1:15 p.m. - Session wrap-up

Join us for an introductory resilience session exploring essential practices in the form of meditation, mindfulness, and realistic self-care.

Well-Being Passport Prize Days – May 18, 19 & 22

This year's Well-Being Passport program concludes on May 15th and is followed by prize pick up week at the Ritchie Center. The well-being passport highlights a variety of well-being activities - both those you can do on your own and some through the well-being program.

Passports do not have to be fully filled in to participate in prize day - your passport can be submitted with as little as one activity marked off. Send a picture of your passport to well@du.edu by Friday, May 15 or bring it with you to prize day. You'll then get to select from a variety of well-being themed gifts to support your personal well-being. Gifts include cookbooks, weighted eye masks, Loftie night lights, yoga mats, weighted blankets, kitchen items, home exercise equipment, and more.

  • Register for Tuesday, May 19, between 1 - 2:30 p.m.
  • Register for Friday, May 22, between 12 - 2 p.m.

Well-Being in the Wilderness at the Kennedy Mountain Campus – June 18

Explore Well-Being in the Wilderness on Thursday, June 18, with transportation provided to/from the DU campus. Join in for a day of nature, community, activity, and relaxation.

Participation costs for this event are covered by the well-being program, with support from Cigna & Kaiser Permanente. Registration is available through Crimson Connect and includes access to the following activities on June 18:

  • Hiking
  • Challenge Course Elements
  • Lawn Games
  • Archery and Ax Throwing
  • Lunch & Snacks
  • Time in Community - Sit on the covered porch or snag a hammock
  • Explore the Kennedy Mountain Campus

Bus transportation will be provided to/from the DU campus or you can choose to self-transport to the KMC. The Kennedy Mountain Campus will be open from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 18.

Crimson Classic

The 91's Annual Crimson Classic 5K Run/1.5 Mile Walk takes place annually in October. The focus of the Crimson Classic is to celebrate wellness and to bring together our community. This is a free event! In 2026, the Crimson Classic will be held on October 21, 2026. Visit the Crimson Classic Website for more information.

Employee Flu Shots

Every year, HRIC hosts an employee flu shot clinic for faculty and staff. Check our Employee Flu Shot Website in late summer for dates and registration details.
